The M1918 BAR, known as simply as the Browning in Hidden & Dangerous and as the BAR in Hidden & Dangerous 2, is a light machine gun that appears in the Hidden & Dangerous game series.
Description[]
The BAR is heavy yet compact weapon suitable for most kinds of combat. The weapon weighs 9,988 grams, making it one of the heaviest of light machine guns. The BAR fires the standard US military 7.62 x 63 mm rounds, and was fed through twenty round magazines. It has a good range of 600 yards and a muzzle velocity of 2,800 feet per second. The BAR can be fired while crouching or standing, making it more versatile than other light machine guns, despite the fact that it has a lower magazine capacity.
History[]
The BAR was designed in the United States and entered production in 1917. A newer model came into service the following year called the M1918, the variant available in Hidden & Dangerous and Hidden & Dangerous 2.

The BAR first appears during the tutorial. It can be found in the second room of the firing range leaning against the table. The BAR can also be found being used by two US paratroopers in the bank during Operation Overlord - Blade Dancer, both troopers on the upper floor, one with the with the US officer at the balcony, and the other in the room adjacent.

- The BAR is the only light machine gun that can be fired while standing or crouching, making it correctly a rifle.
