The Kreutzwald Forest is a large forest in the Alpine region of Austria. The Kreutzwald Forest is home to Adler Castle.
Geographical information[]
The Kreutzwald Forest has undergone some serious changes from its original natural state following the German occupation of Austria in 1938. Much of the trees have been cut down for construction and fortification purposes. Most of this deforestation was carried out by local forced labourers under German command. Adler Castle is a strategic German command outpost located deep within the forest. The area around Adler Castle now has roads, and only shares a backdrop of Alpine scenery.
